Telephone Helpline

Telephone Helpline designated with Arabic Speaking Support workers are here to help identify the support you need. CALL: 07516737197  or 0114 442 0355 for support with: debt management, domestic abuse, racial harassment; help with making sure you are getting the right benefits, accessing support such as Family Fund or up-to-date information about PIP.  

Signposting

We offer information and signposting to all our clients, to help them access the best available support within the community. Our advocacy workers and volunteers will listen to your needs, signpost and match you to the most suitable services from a wide range of information and advice services across different topics. We will share your journey and support you within a safe community setting that meets your cultural and language needs. We are here to make sure your “Voices are Heard”.

“Seldom Heard Communities” is a documentary series, in collaboration with Sheffield Community Contact Tracers, about the hardships endured by marginalised groups of society during the times of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Many of our families will need access to external agency services, this maybe in the form of access to:

  • SENCO • DWP
  • SNIP – support young vulnerable children
  • Fiancial Support - Direct Payments, Universal Credit , HMRC for tax credit & working tax credit

Hadfield offers a range of courses including short taster courses, a stepping stone to vocational training.

Help with getting into work either one basis or group sessions. Help with job search, Internet,  CVs, applications and interviews.

Our Projects

Our core services Hadfield Institute are supported by key projects focused on different groups or issues in the community.

Young people in crisis are prioritised for support additional support. We implement a Red - Amber - Green system, offering different levels of support including from Youth workers, home visits, telephone and online contact and therapy.  

Young person receive visible contact with designated Youth Champion or Youth Worker. We provide support to young people in our community with telephone & Online support to check on their well-being and support them to engage in activities to build self-esteem. 

Regular contact and support for young person struggling with his mental and emotional well-being, facing domestic abuse at home.   Safe Guarding matters are referred to designated Officer in organisation to take forward in line with our Safe Guarding Procedures

Flexible and accessible engagement with Young single parents.  Contact thorugh online Zoom Sessions to connect with  Youth Champions; access to  Food resources and cleaning products including sanitary pads. We have a number of “Neighbourhood Champions” and it has been very successful.

Young mothers are supported through our telephone helpline and Zoom activities, and looking at what support we can help them with. We asisst with advice & debt management, play activities consisting of crafts and games for their young children, checking if children are accessing any education support through their schools, and what other concerns they are facing. 

Bridge the gap project funded by the emergency Covid-19 lottery funding for 6 months has been a game changer for many of the families we support. Our telephone helpline support individuals: struggling with debt management; being furloughed and not able to access the regular external services; elderly and parents with vulnerable children.

Many of the clients that we support are in need of Arabic speaking advocacy. Workers and volunteers. Particular when the face to face advice services are not available to them whilst on lockdown.

Hadfield with the support of its volunteers and staff have continues to support 193 families with food parcels and doing regular well-being checks. Particular to those we are struggling with mental health & well-being, self-isolating and are facing other issues that is impacting severely with the quality of their lives.

Volunteers & staff delivering resources via the “Food Pharmacist” support befriending and well-being checks. Due to Covid -19, the social distance and National Lockdowns this is restricted to the doorstep only by volunteers and through our telephone helpline support. But us has been a resources that has been welcomes as a much needed service.
